Simply follow the normal rules of courtesy, no matter whether they have been prescribed by the hotel or not. One bad experience may change the hotel’s animal-friendly policy. It is up to you to make sure that future dog owners staying in the hotel receive the same warm welcome. Remember that you and your dog are ambassadors for anyone taking their dog on holiday.

Following are some basic rules :  

• Always clean up after your dog 

• Never leave your dog alone in the room unless in a cage and you are sure the dog will not bark

• If your dog breaks something, report it to the management immediately and suggest a settlement (it is covered by your insurance)

• Request a room on the first floor if possible.

• Clean your dog’s paws when going back into the room after you’ve let it out.

• Never allow your dog to beg for food in a restaurant at your table and certainly not at other tables. Keep your dog under the table as much as possible so that normal service is not disrupted.
